Hengst Filtration acquires Brazilian air filter specialist Aeroglass

With the acquisition of Aeroglass, Hengst is continuing its transformation and strengthening its position in the field of indoor air filtration in Brazil.

Münster/Münster. Hengst Filtration has acquired Aeroglass, a Brazilian air filter specialist based in São Paulo. This is Hengst’s second acquisition in the Brazilian air filter market following the acquisition of Linter in 2022. "We are pleased that Aeroglass is now part of the Hengst Group. For us, this is another piece of the puzzle in our transformation from an automotive supplier to a filtration specialist across many sectors," says Hengst CEO Christopher Heine. "With Aeroglass, we are gaining a wealth of expertise and good access to new application areas in the field of air filtration."

Aeroglass was founded in 1967 and has since established a leading position in the Brazilian market. The most important application areas for its filtration solutions are ventilation systems, hospitals, paint shops, and other industrial buildings and applications. The company has approximately 90 employees and is headquartered in the western part of São Paulo.

Together with Aeroglass, Linter, and Hengst Air Filtration—which has been in operation since 2018—Hengst now has extensive experience in the field of indoor air filtration and is active in many markets around the world.

Ulrich Eich and Marco Bertolin, Managing Director of Hengst Brazil, are responsible for integrating Aeroglass into the Hengst Group. In addition, Waldemar Manso, Managing Director of Aeroglass, who successfully led Aeroglass for many years and established it in the market, will remain on the board for the time being as an important link.

Aeroglass impressed us with the high quality of its products and excellent delivery performance. Together, we can learn a lot from each other and offer our local customers an even better product range.
